Easy Slow Cooker Mississippi Roast
A juicy Mississippi Roast that is sure to impress with tangy pepperoncini peppers, seasoned with your favorite ranch and gravy packets. This meal is incredibly simple. All you need is a slow cooker and some time.

- Sear (optional): In a large skillet over medium heat brown each side of the roast for about 5 minutes.

- Prep: Place the roast at the bottom of the slow cooker, pour over the pepperoncini juice. Sprinkle the dry gravy packets on top of the roast. Add the pepperoncini peppers and butter over the top of the roast.
- Cook: Cover and set the slow cooker to low for 6-8 hours or until fork tender.
- Serve: Once cooked shred with a fork and mix the meat back in with the juices from the slow cooker. Serve over mashed potatoes, rice or noodles.

Notes
- Searing your roast before adding it to the slow cooker can will enhance the flavors and lock in the juices. As we all know sometimes we just don't have the time to get extra steps completed when cooking in the firehouse. If you don't want to sear the meat the chuck roast will turn out just fine without this extra step.
- Don't worry about adding additional liquid to the pot. As the roast cooks the flavorful juices from the meat will fill the pot mixing with the spices.
